The Government of Pakistan greatly values the role of high level manpower in national development and is pursuing a considered policy to encourage their contribution in various fields of national development. The National Talent Pool was therfore established in the Ministry of Labour and Manpower and has been assigned the responsibility to perform specific assignments which are as under:
       
  1. Data Collection of High Level Manpower in Pakistan.  
   
   
   
Collection of data on prescribed Personal History Ststement Form (NTP-VII)
   
Supply of data to user organization including Overseas Employment Corporation (OEC) for employment
       
  2. Visits of Expatriate Pakistani Consultants for Short Duration Assignments in Pakistan (VEPCON)  
         
    Development of data base of expatriate Pakistani Consultants and Host Institutions in Pakistan through
      online registration system.
    Identification of sectoral needs / deficient areas of local institutions.  
         
The initiative taken by the National Talent Pool provides opportunity to highly qualified manpower either in the country or abroad to extend their coorperation for the programmes of national development.
